When you visit this site

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., acting on our behalf (processor under Art. 28 GDPR). To deliver pages and fend off attacks, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: your IP address, the address requested, date and time, and information about your browser. We don’t store this data ourselves; logging for our Worker is switched off. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may also process data in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long Cloudflare keeps this data is set by Cloudflare; it states its retention periods in its own privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

No cookies, no analytics, no third-party content

This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking, and loads fonts and images only from this server. Opening a page sends no request to anyone else.

The audiobook player (500lost.humanityosupdate.com)

This privacy policy also covers the other sites under humanityosupdate.com. The audiobook player of book 2 is delivered by Cloudflare in the same way as this site; the audio and EPUB files come from Cloudflare’s storage. To let you continue where you stopped, the player saves in your browser’s local storage (localStorage): the language, the playback speed, the position and length of each chapter, which chapters you have finished, and the last chapter you played. This data stays on your device; it is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser. The player sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

Links to Amazon and other sites lead to their services, where their privacy policies apply. The sites under humanityosupdate.com are run by ITKI GmbH.

When you write to us

If you email us, we process your address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Mail to titscher@itki.gmbh is received by Cloudflare Email Routing (Cloudflare, Inc., processor) and forwarded to our mailbox at Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, processor); Google may also process data in the United States, on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We delete your message when it is no longer needed for the reply, at the latest after four weeks, unless a legal retention duty applies.

Comments form

If you send a comment through the form, we store: the day (no time), the language of the page, the step and AI app you chose, your comment, your consents and a hash of your deletion code. We don’t store your IP address, name or email, and we set no cookies. To limit spam, a hash of your IP address is used for up to a minute to count requests; it is not stored.

The comments are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in the European Union (Cloudflare, Inc., processor). Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, as far as your comment contains health data, Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by deleting the comment with your deletion code, or by email with the date and wording of the comment; this doesn’t affect processing before the withdrawal. We delete comments after 12 months at the latest. Only we read them. We quote a comment only if you allowed it, without anything that makes a person recognisable.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR).

Right to object: where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). An email to titscher@itki.gmbh is enough.

You can complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
